Agent booking, explained: round-robin, collective, and host-picker
Which team-scheduling mode fits your workflow? A plain-English guide to round-robin, collective, and let-bookers-choose.
Short answer: use round-robin to spread leads across the team, collective when a meeting needs multiple stakeholders present, and let bookers pick when the guest should choose who they meet.
Round-robin
Distributes incoming bookings across a team, weighted by availability or a manual weight. Best for sales SDRs, support triage, or any workflow where anyone-on-the-team is fine.
Collective
Only shows slots where all selected team members are free. Best for discovery calls with multiple stakeholders (AE + SE, founder + specialist).
Let bookers pick
Shows a searchable host picker at the top of the booking page. Best when the guest cares who they meet (specific tutor, account manager, or specialist).
Filters and tags
Tag hosts with skills or categories (e.g. "SEO", "Enterprise", "Polish-speaking"). Bookers can then filter the host list — or the API/MCP can filter programmatically for AI agents.
Which should I use?
- Inbound leads to a sales team: round-robin.
- Discovery calls with a specialist: collective.
- Coaching, tutoring, or account management: let bookers pick.
The main difference between these modes is who picks: the system, the availability calculation, or the guest.
