How to delete or reset an Outlook booking page
Remove a Microsoft Bookings page, reset it without losing the URL, or just pause it — plus what to do about the shared mailbox left behind.
Short answer: in Microsoft Bookings, open the booking calendar you want to remove, go to Business information, and delete the booking page. The page stops accepting bookings immediately, but the shared mailbox behind it lingers in the tenant and only an administrator can purge it. To reset rather than delete, clear services and staff and republish — the URL stays the same.
Delete a booking page
- Open
bookings.microsoft.comand switch to the booking calendar you want to remove. - Go to Business information.
- Choose Delete booking page and confirm.
- Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to remove the leftover shared mailbox if you want the name freed for reuse.
Reset without losing the URL
- Delete every service under Services.
- Remove all staff except yourself under Staff.
- Clear business hours and re-enter the schedule you actually want.
- Recreate one service, then republish the page and test the link in a private window.
Stop bookings without deleting anything
If you only need a pause, unpublish the page under Booking page → Save and unpublish. Existing appointments stay in the calendar; new ones are blocked.
If it still fails
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Delete option is greyed out | You are staff, not an administrator on that calendar | Ask the owner to grant Administrator role, or have them delete it |
| Page still loads after deletion | Cached page or a stale link | Retest in a private window; propagation can take a few minutes |
| Cannot reuse the old name | The shared mailbox still holds the alias | Admin must permanently remove the mailbox in Exchange admin |
| Old appointments still on your calendar | Deleting the page does not cancel bookings | Cancel each appointment before deleting so guests are notified |
Moving the link somewhere you control
A recurring reason people delete a Bookings page is that they want a link that is not tied to tenant policy. IntoCal reads the same Outlook free/busy, adds Teams links automatically, and gives you a page at intocal.com/u/yourname you can rename, rebrand, or embed. See the Outlook integration.
Frequently asked questions
How do I delete a Microsoft Bookings page?
Open the booking calendar at bookings.microsoft.com, go to Business information, and choose Delete booking page. The public link stops working right away.
Why is the delete option greyed out?
You hold the Staff role rather than Administrator on that booking calendar. Ask the owner to promote you or to delete it for you.
Does deleting the page cancel existing appointments?
No. Cancel each appointment first so guests receive a cancellation notice, then delete the page.
How do I reset a booking page without changing the URL?
Delete all services and extra staff, clear the business hours, then recreate one service and republish. The URL is unchanged.
Can I pause bookings temporarily?
Yes. Under Booking page choose Save and unpublish. Existing appointments remain; new bookings are blocked until you republish.
Why can't I reuse the old booking page name?
The shared mailbox created with the page still holds the alias. An admin must permanently remove it in the Exchange admin centre.
